Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of the QR Code Scanner: Photo Reader app ("QR Scanner", "the app") and the QR Scanner Premium subscription, published by NT Gadget Team ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms.

They apply together with Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement ("Apple EULA"). If the two conflict, these Terms apply to the extent permitted by the Apple EULA. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled.

1. Using the app

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the Apple EULA. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer or redistribute the app, or try to extract its source code or the technology it licenses, except where the law allows it.

2. Free version and ads

Scanning, product lookup, document scanning and most other features are free to use. The free version shows ads. Ads never cover a scan result.

3. QR Scanner Premium

Premium removes all ads and adds extra features, such as Excel and PDF export for batches, Business mode, iCloud sync, Face ID lock, your own logo in QR codes and saved styles. The current list is shown in the app before you buy.

• Plans. Premium is an auto-renewing subscription, weekly or yearly. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you buy and may vary by country.
• Free trial. When a plan includes a free trial, you will be charged the plan's price when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. A trial is available once per Apple Account.
• Payment. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
• Renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the same price and for the same duration unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged within 24 hours before the end of the period.
• Cancelling. Manage or cancel anytime in iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Premium until the end of the period you have paid for.
• Refunds. Purchases are processed by Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Restore. Use "Restore Purchases" in the app's Settings on a new device.
• When Premium ends, ads return, iCloud sync and Business mode stop, and the other Premium features are no longer available. Your data stays on your device. A Face ID lock you turned on stays on.
• Price changes. If we change a subscription price, Apple will notify you as required, and you can cancel before the new price applies.

4. Your content

Codes you create, documents you scan and anything else you make with the app belong to you. You are responsible for having the right to scan, copy, create and share that content.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use the app to break the law or harm others, for example to create codes that lead to phishing, malware or fraud, to impersonate someone, or to infringe other people's rights. Do not interfere with the app or the services it connects to, or use them in an automated way beyond normal personal use.

6. Information shown in the app

• Product information, including ingredients, nutrition, health scores and reference prices, comes from public databases and other third-party sources. It may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Health scores are general information, not medical or nutrition advice. Always check the product label.
• Link safety warnings help you spot risky links but cannot catch every unsafe site. A link without a warning is not guaranteed to be safe.
• Payment, Wi-Fi and other codes. Check the details (recipient, amount, network) before you pay or connect. We are not responsible for what a code you scan leads to.
• Expiry reminders depend on the dates you enter and on your device's notification settings. Do not rely on them alone for food safety or medicine.
• Text recognition, business card reading and Sudoku recognition can make mistakes. Check the results.

7. Third-party services

The app links to or works with services we do not control, such as websites you open, stores, search engines, Apple iCloud, Google services and webhooks you set up. Their own terms and policies apply, and we are not responsible for them. Some store links may earn us a commission; the app says so when they do.

8. Business mode

If you use Business mode, you choose where your scans are sent. You are responsible for that destination, its security, and for having permission to send the data there.

9. Changes and availability

We may add, change or remove features, and some features depend on third-party services that may change or stop working. We may update these Terms; we will change the effective date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new Terms.

10. No warranty

To the extent permitted by law, the app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that every code will be read correctly. Some jurisdictions do not allow excluding certain warranties, so some of this may not apply to you.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app or Premium in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under mandatory law.

12. Ending these Terms

You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it; cancel your subscription separately in iOS Settings. We may end your license if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms.

13. Your consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms limits the rights you have under the mandatory consumer protection laws of the country where you live.
